Tribute Claude Craig Culver 1958 2020 Claude Craig Culver, affectionately known as Craig, 61, passed away on January 9th, 2020, in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his sister Shelley Gaile and his parents Blanche Claudelle and Claude Caryll Culver. Craig is survived by his daughter Shelley Suzanne Culver; his uncle Michael and his wife Vivien, of Melbourne, Australia, and their children, Amanda, Rebecca and David. He was also survived by countless people who became family, including Chris Cantele, Ambers Crenshaw, Ron Metcalf, Dale Shaver, and Sandra Bennett, and their respective families. Close family and friends describe Craig as a “caring, loving, hilarious, rock ‘n roll, mountain man.” He was there for the people he loved “come hell or high water.” Craig was born on April 12th, 1958, in Houma, Louisiana, and grew up in Montana, Wyoming, Florida, and more before his family settled down in Houston, Texas where he attended Jersey Village High School. He enrolled at the University of Houston, where he studied Finance. While there, he met then later married Lisa Keizer and had his only child Shelley Suzanne Culver. He loved his friends, family, his annual trip to Montana, crawfish boils, going to concerts with his buddies, and fishing in Matagorda Bay. Craig was a good man, a great friend, and a loving father.
