Terry A. Anderson (’64)

Terry Alvin Anderson went home to The Lord on March 2, 2020. Terry was born in Mooringsport, LA, on November 24, 1935, before moving to Houston with his family. Terry graduated from Jeff Davis High School and University of Houston. After a career as a consulting engineer, Terry was appointed as Harris County Engineer in 1989, retiring in 2001. Terry and his wife, Teal, moved to Boerne and Terry became Kendall County Engineer in 2003 retiring in 2015. During Terry’s career, he was President of Houston Engineer u0026 Scientific Society, TSPE San Jacinto Chapter, Texas Association of County Engineers and Road Administrator, who awarded him Outstanding County Engineer of Texas in 1998. He was also named Distinguished Engineering Alumnus in 1998 by the UH Cullen College of Engineering. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest A. Anderson and Ines (Peterson) Anderson. He is survived by his wife Teal; his sons, Scott and David Anderson; grandchildren, Colby Anderson and Carly Frenchmeyer; and two great-grandchildren. Terry is also survived by his stepdaughter, Sarah and her husband, Scott Hardin and two step-grandchildren, Luke and Tucker Hardin. Terry never missed Luke or Tucker’s activities and spent many hours pitching a baseball or playing board games with them. He will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 20, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Helena’s Episcopal Church in Boerne, Texas. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
