Maureen Kelley Royce (’83, M.A. 90)

Maureen was born on January 31, 1952, in South Bend, Indiana to Dale and Esther Kelley. Maureen was a lifelong student who received a doctorate in mathematics from the University of Houston. She was also a loving wife and mother to two great kids and one grandchild. Maureen’s granddaughter, Melissa, was the light of her life and Maureen truly enjoyed spoiling Melissa. Maureen was preceded in death by her parents as well as her cousin Dan Stockham, who was raised by Maureen’s parents. She leaves behind her husband of thirty seven years, Bob Royce, her son Geoff, her daughter Rachel, and granddaughter Melissa, all of Katy, Texas. She also leaves behind her sister Nancy Yendes of Springfield, Missouri. She leaves behind many cousins, nephews, nieces, family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Maureen’s name to Stand Up To Cancer.
