Wanda Gideon Fallin (’72)

1933-2021
Wanda J. Gideon Fallin, 87, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Wanda was born April 2, 1933, in Chandler, TX, to parents; Avery and Vivian Welch Gideon. She is a former resident of Houston and has resided in Baytown for the past 10 years. She received her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Houston and was a retired teacher from Channelview ISD after 20 years of teaching fourth grade. Wanda also enjoyed cruises, gardening, crossword puzzles, and her cats.
Mrs. Fallin was preceded in death by her father: Avery Gideon, mother: Vivian Welch Gideon Wilson, and her husband: Boyce Fallin. She is survived by her sons: Stephen Fallin and wife Carol, Richard Fallin and fiancée Miriam, and Jerry Fallin and wife Julie, grandchildren: Scott Fallin, Chris Fallin, Jason Fallin, Jeremy Fallin, Joseph Fallin, Alexis Fallin, and Jillian Fallin, great-grandchildren: Olivia Pribbanow, Malia Fallin, Grace Fallin, and Jackson Fallin, special friend: John Hesch, and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. A private service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Brookside Memorial Cemetery in Houston. A celebration of life is planned for a later date.
