Grace Longstaff (M.S.W. ’22)

I’m reaching out to share an exciting volunteer opportunity that could greatly benefit our Houston alumni community and beyond.

Experience the Most Energized Volunteer Opportunity!

Event: Feed The City
When: Second Saturday of Every Month
Time: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Where: Barcelona Wine Bar (1731 Westheimer Rd, Houston, Texas, 77098)
Cause: Making lunches for those in need and working to end hunger in our community

Feed The City is a vibrant monthly event where volunteers come together to prepare sandwiches, chips, and fruit for individuals in need. We proudly partner with Harmony House, which provides stable housing for vulnerable individuals. The meals we create are collected and distributed directly into the community the same day, making a real difference in the fight against hunger.

This is a fantastic opportunity for alumni to connect, engage, and give back. We encourage you to share this with your networks—friends, family, and fellow alumni who might be interested in volunteering. Together, we can create a powerful impact!

We recommend each attendee bring enough supplies for 25-30 sandwiches at a minimum. The event is open to all, making it easy for everyone to participate
