Saba Syed (Pharm. D. ’08)

Hi,

I’m a University of Houston Alumnus and a life member of the UH Alumni Association. I attended UH from 2002-2008 and graduated with my PharmD and as a member of the honors college.

I’m also a mom of a child with autism. I gave a TEDx talk on May 17th, 2025 in Houston Texas and the official video was recently posted to YouTube!

I poured my heart into this talk about unacknowledged grief related to my son’s autism diagnosis – a topic I believe we need to talk about more openly and with more compassion.
