Ketul Patel (M.S. ’94)

Dear UH Alumni Organization Head,

I’m a proud graduate of the University of Houston’s Industrial Engineering Master’s Program, Class of 1994. My professional journey began right here, at the Small Business Development Center—then part of UH—where I discovered my passion for supply chain management and built the foundation for a lifelong career in this field. It’s also where I first learned the value of perseverance, adaptability, and community—qualities that inspired my upcoming book.

I’m delighted to share that my new book, A Journey of Elevation: Lessons for Business Transformation from Everest Base Camp, will be published by Koehler Books on January 20, 2026.

The book intertwines my trek to Everest Base Camp with three decades of experience leading global supply chain and business transformations. It explores how perseverance, teamwork, and leadership under pressure can help individuals and organizations navigate complexity and rise to their potential.

As a proud UofH alumnus, I would love to explore opportunities to partner with the alumni community—whether through:

Guest lectures or fireside chats on leadership, resilience, and transformation

Featuring the book in your alumni spotlight, events, or communications

Collaborative book events with alumni networks or regional chapters
