Ladd David Reynolds (’92 M.S. Arts ’96)

Ladd David Reynolds
07/10/1970 – 04/14/2026
Ladd David Reynolds, age 55, passed away on April 14th, 2026 after a 16 month courageous battle with the aggressive brain cancer Glioblastoma.

Ladd was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Lawrence (Larry) and Leonora (Lee) Reynolds on July 10th, 1970. He spent his childhood and early teen years in Omaha. When he was 16, his father’s job with Enron transferred the family to Houston, Texas, where he remained for the rest of his life. He attended the University of Houston where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. After college, he had a long career in the life insurance industry.

David (as many know him by) was very civic minded and contributed a lot of time, energy, and money to social and political organizations that he supported. He was also an avid fitness and health enthusiast with a love for Chardonnay.

More than anything, he was a kind-hearted, generous and devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, spending years caring for his aging and ill parents. He will be deeply missed for his dry sense of humor and comedic timing.

He is predeceased by his parents, Larry and Lee Reynolds, grandparents Robert and Hazel Reynolds and Clyde and Gertrude Cox, Uncle Don Reynolds, Aunt Helen Waldman, and Aunt Colleen Nolen.

He is survived by his sister Laurie Reynolds (Dave Mark) and his niece Beth Greder, close friends Virginia, John, Lee, Mike, Karen, and many more friends, his Uncle Kim (Susan) Reynolds, Aunt Illene Fry, Uncle Donald (Mary) Cox, and many extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026 at 4:30 pm at Villa Capri, 3713 E NASA Pkwy, Seabrook, TX 77586. The service will involve memory sharing, appetizers, and drinks.

In lieu of flowers, Ladd would have wanted donations to go to the Human Rights Campaign.
